The art of storytelling is a big part of my life. In my late teens I fell in love with photography. Later, I was involved in writing and presenting stories as a broadcast journalist. After more than a decade as a broadcaster, I took a break to attend classes at the Vancouver Film School and B.C. Institute of Technology to study filmmaking and television production — the natural extension of the skills and experience gained in the media. After two decades in the broadcast media in Vancouver, Canada, I moved to Beijing, China where I joined the Documentary Channel of China Central Television as part of a team taking documentaries produced in China and making them ready for broadcast to an international audience. The skills, experience and creativity developed over years in broadcast media now fit the needs of online multi-media presentation — where good story telling and the technical skills and flexibility required to create visual stories are in great demand.
